Global Genes® and FDA to Co-Sponsor FREE Rare Disease Public Workshop October 30
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Oct. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Global Genes®, one of the world's leading rare disease patient advocacy organizations, is proud to announce a partnership with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) to co-sponsor a FREE one-day public workshop on Monday, October 30, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The workshop will be hosted at the FDA's White Oak Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland.
DETAILS:
The FREE workshop will offer a unique opportunity for the public to learn top strategies, tools, and best practices for effective communication and patient involvement to better promote rare disease drug development with the FDA's CDER. Patients and attendees will have the opportunity to learn the role of the FDA and CDER through examples with case studies, and will also meet the patient engagement team from the rare disease sector at the federal agency level. The workshop will provide insight into how the FDA grants designations that reflect current science and drug development, and the public health goals intended by Congress.
