Gentiva Health Stockholders Okay Merger With Kindred

(RTTNews) - Gentiva Health Services Inc (GTIV, a provider of home health, hospice, and community care services, on Thursday said that all proposals necessary for the combination with Kindred Healthcare Inc (KND) were approved by Gentiva's stockholders at the company's special meeting of stockholders.

Gentiva and Kindred expect to complete the merger on February 2.

In October 2014, Kindred and Gentiva entered into a definitive agreement under which Kindred will combine with Gentiva for $14.50 per share in cash and 0.257 shares of Kindred common stock based upon an agreed upon fixed exchange ratio.
