Distinguished Speaker to Discuss Telemedicine Compliance at Healthcare Compliance Symposium on April 4th, 2019
WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Attorney and legislative specialist, Andrew B. Wilson, a member of the Morris James LLP Healthcare Law and Government Relations Groups, will serve as the Distinguished Speaker at the 2nd Annual Healthcare Compliance Symposium.
Mr. Wilson works toward legislative and regulatory change and understands areas of law where the system is either out of date or doesn't address a particular situation. After graduating with his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 2010 and before moving to Delaware, he worked as Counsel and Policy Analyst to members of the New York State Senate. He produced legislation, committee reports, and staffed press conferences on a weekly basis, addressing time-sensitive public policy issues. Mr. Wilson's practice focuses on a range of healthcare issues such as licensing questions, regulatory compliance, and how to innovate using tools such as telehealth.
Telemedicine Compliance is an important topic as telemedicine is booming nationwide. Practices of all sizes – from the solo practice to the hospital system – are grappling with new tools as the payment landscape evolves to value-based payment. This presentation will create awareness for compliance staff and counsel and address unresolved areas and challenges in telemedicine. There are several moving parts and gaps in insurance laws and the presentation will conclude with a helpful question and answer session.
