Fenghua SoleTech AG: Opinion on BaFin's guidance notice

Frankfurt am Main, 13 June 2016 - Fenghua SoleTech AG (ISIN DE000A13SX89) with its registered office in Frankfurt states the following opinion on the guidance notice from Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin) dated 9 June 2016:

BaFin published a guidance notice on 9 June 2016, warning about recommendations to buy shares of Fenghua SoleTech AG made in telephone calls (cold calling). According to the guidance notice, BaFin has reason to believe that, as part of these recommendations to buy shares, incorrect or misleading information has been provided and/or that conflicts of interests have been neglectfully concealed. As a result, BaFin has launched investigations on suspicion of market manipulation.

Fenghau SoleTech AG welcomes BaFin's consumer protection activities. Fenghua SoleTech AG will thus cooperate with BaFin without reservation in order to ensure that this issue is clarified as quickly as possible and the investigation is concluded.

Fenghua SoleTech AG has already informed BaFin in writing that it has not, at any time, commissioned cold calling to recommend buying shares of Fenghua SoleTech AG. In addition, according to the information available at this juncture, neither the subsidiaries, management nor existing shareholders of Fenghua SoleTech AG have commissioned cold calling for recommendations to buy shares of Fenghua SoleTech AG.
