Cynthia J. Clemson and Robert B. Macintosh Named Co-Heads of Eaton Vance's Municipal Bond Group; New Municipal Fund Portfolio Managers

Thomas E. Faust Jr., Executive Vice President and ChiefInvestment Officer of Eaton Vance Corp., announced today that CynthiaJ. Clemson and Robert B. MacIntosh have been named co-heads of EatonVance's Municipal Bond Group to replace Thomas J. Fetter, who isretiring.

Eaton Vance also announced new portfolio manager assignments forthe ten mutual funds and closed-end funds that are managed by Mr.Fetter. Ms. Clemson will assume responsibility for Eaton VanceMunicipal Bond Fund. Mr. MacIntosh will become portfolio manager ofEaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX:EIM). William H. Ahernwill assume portfolio management responsibility for Eaton Vance OhioMunicipals Fund, Eaton Vance Ohio Municipal Income Trust (AMEX:EVO),and Eaton Vance Insured Ohio Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX:EIO). Craig R.Brandon will become portfolio manager of Eaton Vance New YorkMunicipals Fund, Eaton Vance New York Municipal Income Trust(AMEX:EVY), Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund(AMEX:ENX), and Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund II(AMEX:NYH). Thomas M. Metzold will become portfolio manager of EatonVance South Carolina Municipals Fund. Changes in portfolio managementresponsibilities will become effective on November 1, 2005.

In addition, with Mr. Fetter's retirement, effective November 1,2005, Ms. Clemson and Mr. MacIntosh will become President of variousEaton Vance funds, including certain Eaton Vance closed-end funds.

Ms. Clemson will become President of Eaton Vance CaliforniaMunicipal Income Trust (AMEX:CEV), Eaton Vance Florida MunicipalIncome Trust (AMEX:FEV), Eaton Vance Insured California Municipal BondFund (AMEX:EVM), Eaton Vance Insured California Municipal Bond Fund II(AMEX:EIA), Eaton Vance Insured Florida Municipal Bond Fund(AMEX:EIF), Eaton Vance Insured Michigan Municipal Bond Fund(AMEX:MIW), Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund(AMEX:ENX), Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund II(AMEX:NYH), Eaton Vance Insured Ohio Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX:EIO),Eaton Vance Insured Pennsylvania Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX:EIP), EatonVance Michigan Municipal Income Trust (AMEX:EMI), Eaton Vance New YorkMunicipal Income Trust (AMEX:EVY), Eaton Vance Ohio Municipal IncomeTrust (AMEX:EVO), and Eaton Vance Pennsylvania Municipal Income Trust(AMEX:EVP).

Mr. MacIntosh will become President of Eaton Vance InsuredMassachusetts Municipal Bond Fund (AMEX:MAB), Eaton Vance InsuredMunicipal Bond Fund (AMEX:EIM), Eaton Vance Insured Municipal BondFund II (AMEX:EIV), Eaton Vance Insured New Jersey Municipal Bond Fund(AMEX:EMI), Eaton Vance Massachusetts Municipal Income Trust(AMEX:MMV), Eaton Vance Municipal Income Trust (NYSE:EVN), and EatonVance New Jersey Municipal Income Trust (AMEX:EVJ).

Cynthia J. Clemson is a Vice President of Eaton Vance Managementand portfolio manager of 10 state-specific Eaton Vance municipalincome mutual funds and closed-end funds. She also serves asco-portfolio manager of Eaton Vance High Yield Municipals Fund andmanages a number of municipal income separate accounts. Ms. Clemsonjoined Eaton Vance in 1985. She holds a B.A. from Mount HolyokeCollege and an M.B.A. from Boston University.

Robert B. MacIntosh, CFA, is a Vice President of Eaton VanceManagement and portfolio manager of 11 state-specific Eaton Vancemutual funds and closed-end funds. He has directed Eaton Vance'smunicipal income separate accounts program and serves as Eaton Vance'schief economist. Mr. MacIntosh joined Eaton Vance as a municipal bondportfolio manager in 1991. He graduated from Harvard College andearned an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administrationat Dartmouth College.

William H. Ahern, CFA, is a Vice President of Eaton VanceManagement and portfolio manager of Eaton Vance National LimitedMaturity Municipals Fund, Eaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund II(AMEX:EIV), Eaton Vance Tax-Free Reserves Fund and 10 state-specificEaton Vance municipal income mutual funds and closed-end funds. Healso manages a number of municipal income separate accounts. Mr. Ahernjoined Eaton Vance in 1989. He is a graduate of Boston College andearned an M.B.A. from Babson College and an M.S. in Finance fromBoston College.

Craig R. Brandon, CFA, is a Vice President of Eaton VanceManagement and portfolio manager of 9 state-specific Eaton Vancemutual funds and closed-end funds. Mr. Brandon joined Eaton Vance in1998. He is a graduate of Canisius College and received an M.B.A. fromthe University of Pittsburgh.

Thomas M. Metzold, CFA, is a Vice President of Eaton VanceManagement and portfolio manager of Eaton Vance's flagship municipalbond fund, Eaton Vance National Municipals Fund as well as Eaton VanceMunicipal Income Trust (NYSE:EVN). He also serves as co-portfoliomanager of Eaton Vance High Yield Municipals Fund and manages 7state-specific Eaton Vance mutual funds and closed-end funds. Mr.Metzold joined Eaton Vance in 1987. He is a graduate of Siena Collegeand received an M.B.A. from the State University of New York atAlbany.
