Cadence Design Systems Reports 10% Rise In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) reported earnings for its second quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $94.08 million, or $0.34 per share. This was higher than $85.60 million, or $0.29 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.32 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.7% to $479.00 million. This was up from $453.02 million last year.
