Bayerngas Selects Stellent for Intranet Content Management; Bayerngas GmbH Selects Stellent as Its Intranet Document Management Provider
Rudiger Hauke, representative for Bayerngas, explains, "Byimplementing this new intranet application, we are now able to store, index and publish information and documents from a central location, allowing us to provide our employees with interdepartmental, personalised, up-to-date and quality assured information. There is nolonger a risk of more than one employee working on a document at thesame time, and a dedicated workflow means authors are prompted toreview their documents on a regular basis. Information relevant formultiple departments or the entire company passes through atransparent release cycle and is then published automatically - which, together with the full-text search capability integrated in theStellent system, makes information very easy to find."
A new internal information platform gives Bayerngas employeespersonalised access to company information, such as annual reports, administration reports, administration forms, press releases, andinternal mailings and manuals, as well as department-specificinformation. Thanks to an intuitive user interface, automatedpublishing capabilities and use of standard desktop applications -such as MS Office - for creating information, the Stellent systemmakes it considerably easier for all employees, includingnon-technical staff, to create up-to-date content for the Bayerngasintranet site.
"The Stellent implementation at Bayerngas is a perfect example ofhow our solution can help today's small- and medium-sized enterprisesachieve a significantly higher quality of internal communication whileoptimising the ways in which they exchange information," said DavidMacey, executive vice president of international sales for Stellent."Improvements in internal communication processes also often bringadditional advantages, such as increased productivity, for companies."
