Avery Dennison Names Anne Hill Head of Human Resources
Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE:AVY) announced today that Anne Hill has
been named Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. She
replaces Terry Schuler, who is retiring at the end of the year after 28
years with the Company.
Hill will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the Company’s
global Human Resources organization and programs, including leadership
and organizational development, performance management, training,
compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, HRIS, and
affirmative action/diversity.
"Anne’s strong
international background and deep human resources leadership experience
make her particularly well qualified for this role at a company that has
employees in 49 countries,” said Dean A.
Scarborough, president and chief executive officer. "She
will serve as a member of my Corporate Leadership Team and play a key
role in developing and executing our strategic priorities. Anne will
work with line and H.R. leaders in the groups and divisions to establish
the programs and working environment needed to attract and retain a
talented, diverse, ethical and motivated management team and workforce.”
Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Hill was vice president, Human
Resources, for Chiron Corporation, where she was responsible for heading
the overall H.R. organization. Hill started her career in human
resources with the John Lewis Partnership, a major retailing company in
the United Kingdom. She subsequently joined Baxter Healthcare, a U.S.
medical device manufacturer where she held a number of H.R. positions
over her 13-year tenure, including vice president of human resources for
the Bioscience division. She is a graduate of the University of Wales.
