Acacia Research Unit Inks Settlement & Patent License Agreement With Staples

(RTTNews) - Acacia Research Corp. (ACTG) said its Express Card Systems LLC subsidiary has signed a settlement and patent license agreement with Staples, Inc. (SPLS). The agreement resolves litigation that was pending in the United States District Court for theEastern District of Texas.

Separately, the company also announced that its Brandywine Communications Technologies, LLC unit has reached a settlement and patent license deal with HickoryTech Corp. The deal resolves litigation that was pending in the United States District Court for theDistrict of Minnesota.
